Hunan Province launched the “Five-Year Action Plan” for the high-quality development of the bamboo industry, aiming to create a bamboo industry cluster worth 100 billion yuan.

It was reported that on February 26, Hunan Province officially launched the “Five-Year Action Plan” aiming at promoting the high-quality development of the bamboo industry. The core goal of the plan is to increase the output value of Hunan’s bamboo industry from the current 54 billion yuan to more than 100 billion yuan in the next five years. To achieve this goal, the Hunan Provincial Government will systematically promote a series of selected development projects to ensure that the annual growth rate of the bamboo industry remains above 14%.

The focus of these development projects includes supporting the construction of more than 500 kilometers of bamboo forest demonstration roads every year, creating 1 to 2 high-quality bamboo industry development demonstration counties, building about 5 characteristic bamboo industry parks or clusters, and implementing a series of bamboo industry transformation demonstration projects. These measures are expected to effectively promote the development of the bamboo industry in Hunan Province and ultimately achieve the goal of building a 100-billion-yuan bamboo industry cluster.
